19th April 2013, Two roaming smarties left Margaret river WA with extra friends Ben Smart & Peter Harry to travel to Canarvon for the start of two beautiful weeks in Gnaraloo.
We new that we would not make it to Canarvon in a night so we took our time to soak up tourist spots on the way.
Our first stop was Harvey Ag college to drop of Bens ute so he could get I to a road worthy condition for his driving future. good luck with that Beno. x
Our next stop was Perth to drop Peters car off, so when his trip was over he would fly back too Perth and drive home to MR.
Our first tourist stop was to be the magnificent Pinnacles. We wee able to drive around the site and you will be able to see in the photo that a storm was brewing in the south. We were lucky enough not to be driving through it.
Our first night of camping was to be on the side of the road near Cervantes. So quiet and peaceful, we all slept well.
Once morning broke we travelled to Cervantes to have breakfast by the ocean, Jane and Peter went for a swim (to cold for me) while Ben and I started breakfast.
We packed up and headed towards Canarvon, we made short stops along the way and one of them was to take this photo below.
This photo was taken at the 26th Parallel, south of Wooramel, from there it was only an hour to Canarvon.
We travelled north for a short while till we saw some amazing table top mountains. One of them had access to drive to the top so we decided take the drive and to sit and watch the sun set. Ben assisted me with positioning the sun.
We arrived in Canarvon around 8:30 pm after Jane' Dad was so worried that he called the Police to find us. We learnt a lesson that night, to always keep in contact with those waiting for us to arrive and try to arrive on time.
Wow. Great pics!
